Internship in UI | UX Design for Laboratory Workflows (m/f)

You will join the team of the Agilent Usability & Design Center and be involved in all phases of our design process. You will support UI design projects for our diagnostics and analytical software and instruments working closely with our project teams – as the usability advocate. Working from our Waldbronn site located near Karlsruhe at the northern Black Forest, you will work internationally with software and hardware engineers, scientists, marketing and other experts, at our locations spanning across USA, Europe, Asia and Australia.


Your responsibilities:

  • Support the UI/UX Design Team by creating user-workflow focused software solutions
  • Analyze user and laboratory workflows
  • Create UI and IxD design concepts based on discovered workflows (wireframing)
  • Participate in current software development projects, including usability testing
  • Develop new methods & tools for workflow analysis
  • Work with and develop UI Design Guidelines
  • Investigate UI motions & transitions


Your qualifications:

  • Studying towards a degree in Interaction Design, User Interface Design, Communication (Media) Design, Industrial Design or similar
  • Good knowledge in Adobe CC
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Fluency in English, German language skills ideal
  • Technical affinity
